PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT

a) To reserve the house, the customers or their guests had to pay the advance payment stated in the booking form and must sign this rental contract and its attaches and return it. Following receipt of that contract and deposit, confirmation of the reservation will be sent via e-mail (if possible). It is the formal acceptance of the booking.

b) The full amount payable (balance + security deposit) shall be paid at least 7 DAYS prior to the date of commencement of the booking.  If the full payment has not been received by the owners at least 7 DAYS PRIOR to the start of the rental period, then the owners reserve the right to cancel the booking without notice and the customers will forfeit the customers’ advance payment which will be non-refundable in such circumstances. 

c) In case the customers  must cancel the reservation for any circumstances, part of the advance payment will be refund as follows:
• Cancellation up to 30 days prior to arrival:  50% refund
• Less than 30 days before arrival:   no refund

d) The owners have the right to cancel a booking up to 30 days prior to customers' arrival issuing a full refund to the customers. Should any events whatsoever arise beyond the reasonable control of the owners which renders the house uninhabitable (for example flood, fire, storm, tempest, etc) or unavailable, then the owners may have to cancel the customer’s booking.  Should such circumstances arise at any given stage, the owners will refund all monies paid by the customer.  Upon refund of the monies paid, the customers shall have no further claims whatsoever against the owners.

e) The security deposit is a requirement of the booking. It shall be paid with the full amount no later than 7 days before the start of the rent. Normally it shall be refundable no later than 2 weeks after the departure of the customers or their guests less deductions (participation in cleaning costs and others ...).

LIABILITY & INSURANCE

a) The customers or their guests must ensure that the multi-risk insurance of their own home has an extended warranty "holiday" for holiday's rentals, which guarantees the risk of theft, fire, explosion, water damage, ...
Otherwise they will subscribe to their own insurance company in order to hedge against such risks, a certificate may be requested by the owner.

b) Payments made to the owners DO NOT include any form of insurance against cancellation. The owners recommend that the customers or their guests take out comprehensive holiday cancellation and protection insurance with a reputable insurance company to cater for any unforeseen circumstances which may arise including accident, ill health or any other matters beyond the customer’s reasonable control.

c) All personal belongings, baggage, vehicles and other property of the customers or their guests of any description shall be the risk of the customers or their guests at all times and neither the owners accept any responsibility for any loss or damage thereto.
